I just stumbled upon a better picture of my snow king proteas (Hawaiian flowers). Designed by Jodi Fukumoto.
Snow King Protea (a type of Hawaiian flower) designed by Hawai`i’s very own Jodi Fukumoto. I made these for my first origami exhibit in Japan at the Shibuya Women’s Plaza.
This is one of my favorite pictures from Japan last year. All the sakura in Kawagoe bloomed in early April. Seeing all the sakura blooming here in Salem reminds me of Japan.
Today I noticed the sakura buds getting larger. It’s almost spring!
Origami unit sakura (cherry blossom). Each petal is one sheet of paper (totaling 5 sheets for one sakura).
These were displayed at my 折り紙展 — origami exhibit — at a small sembei shop (あとひきせんべい) in Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan.
Basket full of roses.
Origami meets baking.
