My Thanks, and Concerns

Good evening Tumblees,

I know I said earlier that I cannot use English because of my intensive Japanese program, but I feel that I must make an exception right now.

I am truly surprised at how popular my dollar koi has become. I could never fathom more than 60,000 notes for one of my creations. I thought 10 was a lot (hah). Thank you for your interest - I am truly, truly humbled.

However, recently, my dollar koi photo has been uploaded on to deviantart - not by me. I am ecstatic that people are posting my photo elsewhere, but deviantart is solely for one’s own artistic creations. As a result of this incident, I also made a deviantart profile, however the photos I upload to deviant art will be the same as here. I also made a flickr (you never know where photos will show up). Please respect that these origami creations are folded by my own hands and I upload them here for you all to see. Although it’s just a boring piece of paper, people somehow end up liking it — and that makes me happy. However, if you see my photos on another website (or even here on Tumblr) with a false attribution, please let that person know to attribute the photo’s owner properly (or message me)． And guys, the same applies for anyone’s own artistic work.

In the past I put my name in Japanese on all my origami photos (kind of like a watermark), but that was a few years ago. Since then, I’ve stopped, but I will start to do so again because of this incident.

However, I will continue to try to make cool origami creations for your (and my own) enjoyment.

I’m going to Japan Town tomorrow, so I can finally get my hands on good origami paper — which means I can make more awesome things.
